Olavo M. Silva
Mechanical Engineer (2004/UFSC) and PhD in Mechanical Engineering (2017/UFSC). Celetista research of the Stemmer Foundation (FEESC). Member of the International Society for Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization (ISSMO). Leader of the Multidisciplinary Optimization Group (MOPT/LVA). Associate Editor of Acoustics & Vibrations (Brazilian Society of Acoustics – Sociedade Brasileira de Acústica – SOBRAC). Technical reviewer of journals such as Journal of Sound and Vibration and Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization. Focus of his research: topological/topographic optimization applied to the development of low noise products; numerical methods; compressors; vibrations in oil and gas systems.

André Luiz Gonçalves Caetano
Mechanical Engineer (2010/UFSC) and PhD in Mechanical Engineering (2019/UFSC). He worked as a substitute professor at the Federal University of Technology of Paraná. He was involved in research projects such as: ”Estudo numérico-experimental do comportamento termo-acústico de refrigeradores domésticos” (Numerical-experimental study of the thermo-acoustic behavior of household refrigerators); ”Controle de ruído em sistemas hidráulicos no interior de aeronave” (Noise control in hydraulic systems within aircraft).

Fernando Henrique Nardelli
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), with an emphasis on Vibration and Acoustics. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC). He is currently a PhD student and researcher at LVA, working with MOPT – Multidisciplinary Optimization Group.
