Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Federal University of Santa Catarina (SC, Brazil) and researcher at the Laboratory of Vibrations and Acoustics of UFSC. Degree from the Technical University of Berlin (Technische Universität Berlin). Undergraduate diploma recognized as a Mechanical Engineer from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Acoustics and Vibrations) from the Federal University of Santa Catarina. He has experience in acoustics and vibrations, working mainly on the following topics: acoustics, vibroacoustics, assistive technologies for hearing, evaluation of noise and vibration, noise vibration harshness, sound transmission in structures, psychoacoustics, sound quality and signal analysis, transport system acoustics, environmental acoustics, instrumentation in acoustics and vibrations, noise control.

- AloFono: A technological tool for the population’s access to hearing health care services of the Single Health System (Sistema Único de Saúde – SUS);
- Analysis of the dynamic behavior of flexible cabling;
- Vibroacoustic characterization of rescue and medical transport aircraft in the State of Santa Catarina;
- Development of speech signals and competitive noises for audiological tests;
- Determination of the sound speed of the water column using seismic survey data;
